We watch our own clients with it
UptimeEZ is written and run by Coeur du Web, a web agency in Paris. It exists because we look after client sites, and because a status code kept telling us everything was fine while a client was on the phone.
Being our own first customer decides what gets built and what does not. A false alarm wakes us up, so the thresholds are conservative. A vague alert costs us a morning, so every failure names a cause and the first thing to check. And we refuse probe types we cannot run honestly from one server, which is why this site keeps a list of what UptimeEZ does not do.
It also sets a limit worth stating: we are an agency, not a monitoring company with an on-call team. If you need checks from twelve countries and a rotation schedule at three in the morning, buy from someone who sells that. The comparison pages say which of them, by name.
Things you can check without taking our word
Trust pages usually ask to be believed. This one lists where to go instead.

What you will not find on this site
No testimonials, no client logos, no user counter, no star rating, and no uptime badge for our own service. UptimeEZ is recent. Any of those would have to be invented, and the people we sell to recognise an invented one on sight, usually because they have been asked to put one on a client site.
What replaces them is on this page: source you can read, a demo you can break, a company you can look up, and a free version that is the whole product rather than a sample of it. When there are customers willing to be named, they will appear here with their names, and not before.
The same rule governs the comparison pages. Each one lists what the competitor does better than us, because a comparison that concedes nothing is read as advertising and cited by nobody. The seven of them, in one table.
How this pays for itself
One hosted subscription, billed monthly, which pays for the server, the backups and the time spent keeping the engine current. That is the whole business model. There is no enterprise tier held in reserve, no per-monitor meter, and nothing removed from the free engine to make the paid one look better.
The free version is not a lead magnet either. It is the same program, under the MIT licence, and a good outcome for us is you installing it and telling someone. We would rather be the tool an agency recommends than the tool it feels trapped by.

Run by Laurent Tulpan, who is also the publication director and the person who answers support@uptimeez.com. The agency itself is at coeurduweb.com.
Support is email, in English or French, answered by the person who wrote the code. There is no ticket queue and no first line: on a product this size, a support layer that cannot read the source only adds a delay.
